INVEST – Mentoring
Now in its 4th year, so far we have mentored 33 charity leaders, this has been life changing for so many participants.
“It has had a huge impact on my confidence in leading my charity; in finding my agency with my Trustee board and in supporting the charity through these difficult times”
The programme provides mentors from the business community to charity leaders and managers in the county. “Leaders supporting Leaders”
We support small local charities and community organisations which may not be able to afford some professional services. We will prioritise those with an income under £1 million.
Our goal is to support the development of charities and community groups, by providing the skills required to help develop and grow their organisations. The programme is designed to help mentees set and achieve their personal goals and realise their full potential through guidance from mentors.
The role of the mentor is to: be a listening ear and a helping hand.
- Enable their mentee to fulfil their performance expectations to the benefit of their organisation and in doing so, their beneficiaries.
- Offer advice from their experience of challenges and successes.
They may alternatively have a strategic business project they would like to develop with you in order to specifically develop or grow their organisation and ultimately apply for funding and other resources through the INVEST Pro-Bono Programme and Community INVESTOR Fund.
We will work with you based on your areas of expertise and skills to match you with a mentee. Mentoring sessions are one to one with a mentee who has been matched to your expertise.
