FPR Rating

The Foundation Practice Rating (FPR), developed by a consortium of philanthropy experts and practitioners, serves as a robust framework for evaluating the operational practices of various foundations, including community foundations. The FPR does this by providing an annual rating for selected foundations.

The FPR initiative aims to foster positive change and enhance practices within the foundation sector. Every year 100 UK charitable grant-making foundations are randomly selected to be assessed.

In 2024 we were selected for a second time and we were delighted to receive an A grade, based on the three areas; diversity, accountability and transparency. We are incredibly proud that our modern practices have been recognised and celebrated, giving us real confidence in the work we do.

We were one of only 11 out of 100 foundations to receive the highest A grade (only 20/300 have scored an A to date) and the only foundation with less than five employees to receive this top mark.  You can read the full report of the results here
