Research Reports
Along with our daily hands on learning, we also produce research, a needs analysis of the sector that helps inform the work we do. Our aim is to understand what's needed first, where we can be most useful and where we can have the greatest impact, which in turn informs our strategy and grant-making. You can read and download our reports from the last few years using the links at the bottom of the page.
We were delighted to launch our research report about stronger communities and the needs within the county, ‘Strengthening Communities 2023 Report’. Hosted by our donors Robert Hitchins Limited at their HQ, Boddington Manor.
We were joined by representatives from the charity, corporate and statutory sector, to learn more about our work and importantly the views of our communities and charitable groups.
Our research was based on our survey of 100 respondents and Let’s Talk, Let’s Listen online sessions attended by over 120 participants. We gathered data to identify and highlight emerging needs of the organisations that we serve to deliver appropriate and targeted support.
The report focuses on the current situation, how that compares with previous years, and identifies the issues community groups are facing and suggests key next steps needed to support our communities.
In our survey we asked the question, “What makes a strong community?”
“A community where everyone has equal access to basic needs and easy access to help when needed. Where those who struggle with everyday life are supported so that they do not fall into crisis.”
“People coming together/building a network to support and care for one another regardless of difference.”
